Chorion began life as the literary estates division of Trocadero Plc. The firm demerged in May 2002 into two separate AIM-listed vehicles: Urbium Plc and Chorion Plc, which took responsibility for a portfolio of literary properties, including the works of Agatha Christie and Enid Blyton. Chorion Plc delisted from AIM in May 2006 and has subsequently re-registered as a private limited company, backed by private equity and venture capital firm 3i.
